A Degasser Tower is a specialized equipment used in water treatment and industrial processes to remove dissolved gases such as carbon dioxide (CO₂), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), and oxygen from water or liquid streams. These dissolved gases can cause corrosion, scaling, and operational problems in pipelines, boilers, and industrial equipment. The degasser tower helps improve water quality by reducing the concentration of these unwanted gases before the water is used in further processes. The working principle of a degasser tower is based on gas stripping or aeration. In this process, water enters the tower from the top and flows downward through specially designed packing materials or trays. At the same time, air is introduced from the bottom and moves upward through the tower. As the air and water come into contact, the dissolved gases are released from the water and carried away with the air stream. This counter-flow contact between air and water increases the efficiency of gas removal.
