A Lamella (also known as a Lamella Clarifier or Lamella Settler) is an advanced water treatment system used for the efficient separation of suspended solids from liquids. It works on the principle of sedimentation, where particles settle out of the water under the influence of gravity. The system uses a series of inclined plates or tubes, called lamella plates, which increase the effective settling area and allow particles to settle faster and more efficiently. Lamella systems are widely used in water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, chemical industries, mining operations, and industrial processing units. As the water flows through the inclined plates, suspended particles settle on the surface of the plates and slide down into a sludge collection area at the bottom of the unit. The clarified water then flows out from the top, resulting in efficient separation of solids from the liquid.
